I've been seeing a lot of people getting denied from Chase, and I have no prequalifications or preapprovals, although it seems their preapproval site is not up at this time. Any other time I would have already applied, but for some reason I'm too nervous to now. Am I being overly cautious?
Going just by the information you listed in your post, I would think that you would be fine to apply.
Can any us guarantee an approval?
We cannot but your profile looks good unless you have mortgage, auto debt, or other debt such that Chase does not want to extend more credit.

No debt. I feel like I qualify for the card, but I'm just worried Chase is being strict with applications atm
Underwriting standards have absolutely become more strict since the start of Covid era.
Issuers are also absolutely paying less for advertising.
However, applications are still being approved as well.
Approvals have not stopped but have certainly slowed down.
I would caution against a U.S. Bank approval but Chase application sounds reasonable.

Looks like you had no problem getting the other Chase cards,
I guess it just depends what amount of TCL they are willing to trust you with?
One way to find out
