Slate to Freedom PC?

One more Q for the Crew.

Wife has a slate, which we did a balance transfer on then PIF. Sitting in sock drawer since.

Will Chase do a product change from Slate to Freedom? If so, would you get all benefits of being a new Freedom member, i.e. new balance transfer options? Don't want to waste her time having her call in request it if there is no point in trying.

It would depend on whether the account is elegible - you can always contact them to determine if the Slate can be PC'd.  As far as BT promotions, that may depend on your wife's internal profile with Chase and other creditworthiness factors.  Now, unless your wife doesn't want a new account or impact her AAoA yet there's always a potential $200 sign up bonus with Freedom that gets offered periodically.  Just something to consider.

Re: Slate to Freedom PC?

I had my slate for 15 months and when the 0 apr ended I called and I asked and they said they would gladly product change to the Freedom or Spahire. I chose Freedom as I don't travel much. So yes it's possible. I didn't get any new offers though. Just rewards now Smiley Happy

According to Chase, they require a year before you can PC. I have seen instances of sooner. If you want it, give them a call and check.
