Hello all! I'm hoping you guys can provide some input on this situation. I am thinking about jumping out of the garden and would like for you guys to tell me if it is worth it. I received an email offer for the Hilton Honors Amex card with 60K points after $1K spend within 3 months, and 0% interest for 12 months. That sounds fine and dandy but the real reason I am contemplating getting the card is because I have upcoming travel where I will be staying at a hilton hotel. I prefer hilton hotels and usually stay at them when I travel but I only travel maybe twice a year. I've done a little bit of research regarding their point values but it seems that the consensus is that they are not very good. I'm also concerned that if I apply for the card, I will not receive it in time to use it for my upcoming trip which will make this whole conversation sorta a moot point.
Well with that information in mind, what do you guys think? Is it worth it?
TIA

Depending on how much you stay at Hilton properties, there's also the recent Hilton Honors Ascend 100K SUB offer. $95 AF.
I only travel once or twice a year but when I do travel, Hilton is my go to hotel brand. I saw the Ascend offer but I really don't an AF card.

I see, I merely pointed that one out since you had 2 other CCs in your signature which appear to have AFs.
Yes, and I have yet to be charged an AF for my Delta. The first year was waived and I guess they took pity on me since they haven't increased my limit in the year I have had it and didn't charge me the AF this year either. I plan to down grade my Citi AA after my first year is up.
I'd go for it. You'd get the Hilton base points for your stay at about 10x per dollar in addition to the points from Amex when using the card for spending money at Hilton.

I see you found my thread LOL! You have two cards from Hilton in your signature. Can I ask why? Nevermind. I see that one is a business card and the other is the Ascend.

I would just go ahead and get the aspire card. It literally pays for its self even if u only use it twice a year. The 100k SUB could actually get u a free night. Hilton stays with points are pretty high for the good hotels. It’s common for them to be anywhere from 60K-80K points per stay. At least you’ll get their top status the few times you travel and get some free drinks and food out of executive room access.
250 airlines credit
250 resort credit
Free night on sign up and every anniversary after.
@Anonymous good card for restaurant spend @ 3.5% return on spend
7% return at Hilton stays but actually much higher if you factor in executive access and possible room upgrades. On my recent trip to Europe we were upgraded to suites in Paris England and Barcelona. If you can use the resort credit they PAY you to get the card. That’s before the SUB and and annual free night
Wow! Wish I had read this post before I applied for the card. Oh well, it's too late now.
