Sportsman's Guide vs Buckle

I'm in the rebuilding stages.

I was denied the Sportsman's Guide Card last year but Approved for the Buckle.

I've used buckle maybe once or twice but the account has been on $0 balance for a while. They are expensive and I really don't shop there.

However, I would really like the Sportsman's Guide because I hunt and shop there a lot. 

Since I send money there anyway I rather use the guide to help my credit while I shop there.

Would you all recommend that I try a hard pull for the SG and close the Buckle account?

For some reason the shoppoing cart trick doesn't ever work for me.

It seems that the Sportsman's Guide needs over 700 to get the SCT to work.  Most will tell you here that if you don't have a need for the card might as well get rid of as long as you don't need for your Util. Good luck!

Don't get another store card. Get a general use Visa/MC/AMEX.

Sportman's Guide is a Visa, not really a store card.

App is right. 700+ for Sportsman's in most cases.  Do not cold app, keep trying the Shopping cart trick at Sportsman's until you get the pop up.
