You may want to go with a Charge card first, spend a couple months with the PIF behavior. Then apply for the Delta card, as it may improve your chances of getting a higher SL. If all you have ATM is one $1K CL card, you may wind up getting a small SL on the Amex too.
Especially withe all the negatives on you CR.
Generally apping two cards in same day are done by people who's profile can support such activity.
After all, it's not a race to get as many as you can in the shortest amount of time.
@Janus Thank you for the thoughtful input. In the mail today I got an Experian Credit report, from trying to contest some of the dates on my lates. There is almost an entire page of Amex inquires starting 2/03/2019 started out last February slow, like twice a month. Then went into a few times a month, and since November almost every day Amex is doing soft pulls on me? I'd say over 100 AMEX inquiries. is that normal? I’ve never applied to an Amex, ever. Is this normal?
I checked twice (went back for a second glance) on 01/12/2019. I only first looked at Amex website this year. Could it be because i'm a Delta frequent flyer?
I looked again, American Express did a total of 52 inquiries with 2/28/19. Begining 11/24/19 through 1/14/2020 they only skipped 5 days. Seems like they should have a pretty good sense of my credit at this point. haha
I've actually never counted their INQ, but they do add up over time. Once you supply your info for a prequal, forever will they SP you.
