If you want the card I would app for the Visa (online) nothing wrong with trying to go for the top card and walking away with just the gas card if you dont qualify. Good luck

It's worth the HP. My scores were in the 630's when I started getting approved for Synchrony. And I had a few derogs reporting too. You should be fine. Go for it!
