Assuming a solid profile otherwise U may want to try again 6-12mo's but as an alternative in the meantime I agree, secured cc is viable option to consider (assuming U havent already).
ThanksI have couple CC's already and trying to get secured one as well, so probably would make sense to make about 6-12 payments and then reapply.
Can anyone share their experience about Synchrony Bank CC customer service? Do all CC's have call center overseas? Just curious because my experience with Walmart was terrible
@Sounds like a plan. As for CS's, most arent very good, some are better than others and a handful are exceptional. Still, catch them on a bad day and even the best can be frustrating to say the least. Synch probably falls somewhere in the middle although I understand Synch chat is particularly positive. It really all depends on the individual's experience with them (so a subjective analysis @ best). As a general rule I find it is important to exercise a great deal of patience when dealing with 'ANY' CS dept (cuz its so easy to get frustrated with them). But I s'pose U already know that.

100 % agreed. Patience is a virtue. A lot of CC's customer service centers are not in the best shape. I guess just staying positive is the key![]()
Sync bank is funny. I burned them for one card im my bk. I've tried applying for their cards and I get straight denied. I just don't understand. However, I will not waste another HP with this bank. I will wait a couple more eyars and see, but just not at this moment. Others get approved right away while others wait for a year or longer to get back in with them. It's certainly a case by case basis.
Good Luck

I didn't include them in my Bk but still getting flat out denials. Even to check your app status I was transfered to some 19th century call center where they just hung up on me![]()
About 1 month after ,y BK discharged last fall I apped for Walmart and was denied, tried again 6 weeks later after seeing people with scores 100 points lower than mine get approved....denied again. Then I tried again a month later, still denied. I assumed I just wasn't goinmg to get any Sync cards. Then about 3 weeks ago I got a pre-approval from Walmart in the mail, I went online and put in the approval number and got the card. It didn't have a SL so I called the 800 # and gave them some info and they told me it was for $1000. My BK is only 9 months old, be patient. Sync does come around.
Funny story.
Interesting fact is that my score is way above some of the contributors with Synch and they were not included in my bk, however I am not welcome. Probably they might start attacking me with pre app letters after some time![]()
@Anonymous wrote:Just wondering how hard is it to get Synchrony Bank CC after recent BK7?
The old rule of thumb was that you needed to be 2+ years out of BK. Some members have had success earlier, so it's YMMV.
Good to know all, thank you!

I included like 8-10 synchrongy cards in my BK7 back in january, was denied walmart, lowes, and ashely furniture every other month since May, then got a pre selected mailer from Belk the beginning of October and was approved, so in my case, 10 months.
DH IIB CareCredit. Discharge was in July 2014. DH applied for an Amazon Store card this last March. Approved for $800. Then last month, through Chat, he was approved for a new CL of $3.5K. It's very possible to get in with Sync. Pay attention to your scores, inquiries, utilization, etc. It may take some time, but you'll get there eventually. Most of all, be patient and good things will happen.
