Hi Everyone,
I was wondering how often you use chat or call CS to request CLIs from Synchrony. I just recieved 2 very nice CLIs from them this week and am very happy with them! I want to know how often or little I should request CLI from them. I don't want to abuse the system with them, but I also don't want to miss out either.
What has your experience been with Synchrony?

Which cards?
What's old limit and new limit?
What's TU score according to them?

Hi Credit Addict,
Amazon Prime- Opened 11/2016 at $800, CLI via CS 05/2017 to $4,000
Old Navy- Opened 03/2017 at $300, CLI cia Chat 05/2017 to $5,000
MyFico TU score was 676. I am not aware of a way to see what ON or Amazon shows me as for TU.

I went to both card's websites and they both show my Fico for TU at a 691. I subscribe to MyFico and my score right now is 676 there?
"Your FICO® Score 8 based on TransUnion Data was pulled on 05/05/2017.Synchrony Bank uses FICO® Scores, along with other information, to manage your account."

I went to syncbank.com/amazon but I don't see where scores are shared. What am I missing?
Go to your sync account and hover over Rewards and Offers on the top right. Click "Your Fico Score"
Enroll- Just click on enroll and there is nothing else to it. Your score is immediately displayed.
Do you subscribe to MyFico? If so, are there differences in your scores?

It used to be said that you could try for a CLI online every four months; any earlier would be turn down. I've not seen any recent feedback to indicate this has changed, and in any case it's generally a SP with most of Synchrony's store cards so there's little harm in trying. (Note that there are some exceptions, but for accounts such as Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Amazon, Lowe's, and the other run-of-the-mill Synch cards it's almost always a SP).
As for Credit Solutions, you can call them anytime regardless of your last CLI. Do keep in mind, though, the Synchrony blue envelope drama from a few months ago. As long as you don't have a dozen new Synchrony accounts all with large credit lines you'll likely be OK, though (plus, I've not read of any 'blue envelopes' being received lately).
Credit Solutions has several different numbers; my personal favorite is the foreign call center: 877-379-8173. When you call, they'll place you on hold for a couple of minutes to do a SP on your TU report. Also note that they are generally "all-business"... they don't ask (and don't care) why you want/need a CLI; they just ask the necessary questions to either approve the CLI, give you a counter-offer, or deny it.
Finally, keep in mind the closer to 700 your TU the better your chances will be, although people with sub-700 scores have reported success as well (again, keep in mind that they will counter-offer!)
Good luck, and let us know how it goes! ![]()
I tried a CLI online for my Amazon Store Card and via Synchrony's CS in late March but was denied; I may try again later this month but am not sure of my chances of success with my TU score being 624 (I had expected it to come up after my Penfed car loan begain reporting but my Amazon card went up over 30% util because it got hit with a $99.99 annual charge from Prime which I'd misfigured - I thought it'd be charged on a monthly basis, not as a lump sum, but I obviously read the terms wrong). Does Synchrony ever give increases on CL's under circumstances other than the customers' requesting them via CLI?

Hi Joe.
I'm not sure. Hopefully, someone who's had their card for a while will know.
