Re: Synchrony CLI schedule?

For Amazon ( and probably ON also ) go to your summary page and click Rewards and Offers and then Your Fico Score. Its Fico8 scoring I believe

>7/2025 All 3 reports 830 - 845(F8) F9s = all 850 but my app finger is still twitching

Re: Synchrony CLI schedule?

It doesn't seem like there's a time schedule so much anymore. More like TU 650+ gets you to around $4,000, 680+ gets you $6,000 and 700+ can get you to $10k depending.

I would caution you to get what you need with Synchrony rather than just try to get all of your limits high. Synch does impose an internal limit and while it's rather high ($100k I think), Synch can be sensitive to exposure.

Personally, my AE card is at $3,500. I won't ask for another CLI on that one because I don't need it. I just got Marvel to $5k and want to get that to $10-15k and Care Credit to $15-20k (it's currently at $7k). I have $5k on Amazon and $6k on Walmart and may take those a little higher when I'm back over 700. I want to get TJ Maxx to $6k though (currently at $4k).

The good thing is, it's pretty much always a SP; even with Care Credit lately (for most of us!). Calling Credit Solutions ensures a fresh SP is used. Going online will depend on the last time they pulled you.

Capital One Savor: $6,000; Mission Lane: $4,500; PenFed Power Cash Rewards: $3,500; Nordstrom Visa: $3,300; Capital One: $2,550

Store/Other: Care Credit $7,500; Kohls $2,500; Home Depot: $1,500; Amazon: $1,000; Target: $1,100; LOFT: $700

Re: Synchrony CLI schedule?

Is there a minimum time of having the cards to request a CLI via online or credit solutions?

There is but not sure what it is. It also seems to depend on the card. Some I can get CLIs quicker than others. Otherwise I get "insufficient experience at current credit limit". Amazon and Google seem to take a lot of patience (3+ months). But not JCP/Lowes.

Agree with this. I had Amazon for 9 months, TJ Maxx and Walmart for 8 months before I got anything. Others were much closer to 3-4 months after opening.

My starting limits were low and scores around 620 at approval.

I called CS for a CLI immediately after being approved on line for a Marvel card that netted an extra 2K to the limit.

NFCU: Plat 15K; Flagship 15K; CLOC 10K
Barclays Aviator 12K; Jet Blue $500 (for the miles).
BOA 8K. Discover 10K/5K. 5/3 10K. PPC 7K
PPMC 10K. TD Ameritrade $1500

Re: Synchrony CLI schedule?

Here's my experience with Sync so far:

Amazon - applied 3/25/17 - SL $1500 - CLI 5/17/17 - Requested $5000, approved for $5000

Newegg - applied 4/05/17 - SL $800 - CLI 5/18/17 - Requested $5000, approved for $4000

Both CLI requests were made via the back door number on different days.

TU in the 690s at the time.

When I posted earlier, my TU score had dipped down to 624, but a few days later it bounced back up to 640. It's been two months since my last CLI attempt on my Amazon store card and my next payment is posting today, so I think I'll give it another go this week. I've had this card for just about 6 months now, so going by what you say, if I don't get it this time, I should probably try again in July or August by which time my scores should be higher due to, among other things, my new Overstock card boosting available credit and depressing overall utilization.

A somewhat related question just popped into my head, in fact; does Synchrony ever raise limits on their cards - Amazon or otherwise - on their own a la Capital One's Credit Steps?

Re: Synchrony CLI schedule?

I have several Synchrony Bank store cards and 1 main credit card which is PayPal mastercard extras. I've requested a CLI every 3 to 6 months and I've gotten approved almost every single time. I've received about 5 CLI increased within a 1 1/2 year and majority of them have been 3K. They are very flexible but obviously depending on your credit history and other factors. My scenario might not apply to other and vice versa.

Re: Synchrony CLI schedule?

Tried the CLI button at my Amazon store card account again today (2 months after the first attempt), got another 7-10 day (denial) message. *sigh* Does Synchrony ever increase CL's without prompting on the part of the customer?
