Synchrony CLI vs New Account

I have a few cards with Synchrony as listed in my sig (full site view) I've tried getting a CLI on my Amazon an Walmart accounts to no avail. I've had those accounts since August. On Oct 2 I applied for Google financing which is a Synchrony account and was approved for $900. I figured why not to preorder the Pixel XL. I was denied for Lowe's sometime in August. So as you can see, it's been weird lol what gives?

Re: Synchrony CLI vs New Account

There is different underwriting criteria for each Sync card. What reason are they giving you for the denials?

I would avoid applying for any new credit. Your accounts need to age and grow. August was only a couple of months ago.

You have some cards that will actually grow if you don't spook them.  From your profile, you seem to be at a crossroads. If you take the wrong turn, you could land in toy limit land with no way out. Remember, quality over quantity.

+100. The new Synchrony can still give big cls or clis but it seems they are looking alot closer these past 6-7 months. Amazon and Walmart really seem to be tied to your TU score but even then, i would make sure other parts of your cr are up to par as we live in a " As the Synchrony Turns" world now lol Smiley Happy Best of luck going forward.

Re: Synchrony CLI vs New Account

You have 5 banks from what I can see that barely approved you for the cards you have. what you need is a plot of land and a year of gardening

Re: Synchrony CLI vs New Account

Every card regardless of lender may or may not have different criteria. I would focus on trying to obtain an unsecured visa or mastercard as your next card and stop there. Or take the previous advice and garden altogether.
