Synchrony bank

I defaulted years ago on my synchrony bank card through Amazon. At least 7 years.

Now with my job I spend a ton with Amazon and was wondering if there is a way to get back on good terms with synchrony bank? Really want the 5 percent. Adds up quick.

I'd suggest either:

A) Applying and see what happens. If you're still on their black list they won't pull your credit and you'll be automatically denied. 
B) Try the pre-qualification for a Lowe's card - it'll be a soft pull and you can see if you're black listed still from Synchrony Bank and/or if your credit history is in line with their underwriting guidelines.

@Wrightpt, Amazon has a 5% Chase Card you can check if you're prequal'd for.  Go to your Amazon account and click the payments section; the link should be there.

AMEX has 5% Amazon business card with no AF, also Chase has a personal Amazon Prime with 5% reward.

Also Sync dosen't hold a grudge for long time!
