I don't think I was transferred to retentions, just a specialist that was very much in the states... Wonder why there is so much YMMV type of stuff w/regards to this? When was your last SP on their site Nixon? Within 30 days? Mine was yesterday so I was pretty sure I was golden and about to hit 7 months so even thought I was more golden as that is usually when eligable for a CLI(With your frist account w/them)... Just my takes on it.. Deffinetly a helpful thread as we are learning more and more data points w/regards to barclay's that haven't been explored before
Yesterday was last SP.
batter up again!
Since my 6 month statement just cut today, I will wait until the 7th statement cuts before proceeding. I only put about 300 dollars a month spend on this card and I don't even carry it on me. My wife uses it until the anoying cap is hit for groceries and I use it for amazon purchases (stored). She has been complaining about having to switch cards after two weeks, so as soon as I can PC from BCE to BCP this card will only be used for amazon purchases. Initital CL was 5k, and it is my lowest limit card.
Then again I might try again tomorrow.. So far two denials. One CSR stated FCRA requires HP (biggest load I have ever heard) and the analyst (w/out pulling up account) told me a HP would be required.
Ok, tried once more just to see if I would get lucky. No dice. Talked to a friendly analyst and after she brought my account up, said there was not a SP available. However, she did say that the auto-cli was a possibility in the future. She did make it a point to indicate that the highest amount charged on this card was 290 dollars. She was spectulating that my chances would be higher if I ran more through the card and had the card for a longer duration - I opened in September of 2014.
I guess I will see if the auto-luv happens sometime in the future.

Similiar ran about 300-500 through my RMC a month, before applying for the SM.. Only put $50 through it, so it isn't the purchase size or amount on it imo... I opened mine as well at the begining of Sept being the RMC then the SM a week ago and moved the limit as stated over to th e SM and closed the RMC. My 7th statement would be cutting on the 4th of April if this helps at all, so last week no dice through recon it was all game this week and nothing has changed between last week and this week other then TWO more HP's on my TU due to car shopping... So I think it is a timing issue.. Try once a week, what do you have to lose, you are close if you opened it in sept. I believe if it is close to the magic 7 month mark as where most auto CLI's take place or in the case a manual SP CLI... Just a bit more info

Looking for opinions about this. My Rewards card hasn't received an increase since I got it last May. Started with $2500. I swapped credit limits with my Apple card in November so it's now $8000. I don't know if that messed up CLIs or not. The APR for the Rewards card is 22.9% and the Apple Rewards card is 18.9%. I've been planning on calling Barclays but wondering if I should wait a few days until my recent Walmart and JCP CLIs report. Both more than doubled. Does that look better when they review reports or do they not even notice things like that?I can't tell you if waiting until your reports update will help, but I don't think it can hurt. I did not get the impression that they do a SP at the time you call, or that you talk to an analyst. My impression is they were using the latest SP, and the offers are computer generated. So you'd have to wait for your reports to update and then for Barclays to SP, before you call, IMO.
Hum... My Barclay score updates tomorrow. Walmart and JCP cards close on the 21st so those increases won't show up until next month. Maybe I'll try tomorrow. I guess the main things will be my TU score is the highest that it's been in about 8 years and 4 baddies/2 tax liens have been removed from the report since anything has happened to the account.

How long have you had an open account with Barclay? Since Jan 2014. Initial credit limit $3,000. TU FICO at that time 686. Sallie Mae MC Platinum
What date did you get a soft pull CLI? Mar 18, 2015. TU FICO around 740
Was this your first CLI with Barclay or not? No. This is my second. The first was an auto-CLI from 3k to 6k in Oct 2014, after I paid down the full balance on my card.
(If you want to include this: How much % was the increase?) 41.67% (from 6k to 8.5k)
.....
Thanks for creating this thread.
I wanted to try this out for a while; called last Sunday, but the call dropped. So tried again today. These were the steps:
1. Called the regular CS number given on the back of the card
2. Asked for an APR reduction. The CSR put me on hold for about 3-4 minutes to connect to "another" department
3. Got transferred to (I suspect) underwriting
4. Got an offer to reduce my APR by 4% (from current 20.99 to 16.99), effective immediately. Accepted. Some T&C were read to me.
5. Asked if an CLI offer was available. Stated that I wanted one without an HP. Was told it is possible (need to check my reports to verify).
6. Was asked for my income. Personal income only. Household or a part thereof was not an option.
7. Got approved for an instant 2.5k CLI on my 6k line
Other info:
1. I have a $600 balance reported last month (10%) on this card. I pay in full on or before the due date. My overall balance across the board is about 8%. AAoA 1.35 years. Income is $35k. Spend in 2014: $6k. YTD Spend 2015: $1.5k
2. I keep getting some good 0% BT offers from them. Don't use them because (a) not needed and (b) either 2% or 3% BT fee
3. This card is now tied for my 2nd highest CL, along with Discover It and US Bank Cash+. CSP leads with 8.7k
4. The new CL is immediately updated on the online a/c, but the APR update is not immediate. Takes about 2-3 hours
Edited to add: Card name, AAoA, Income, Spend on the card (in case it comes handy)
Update:
Both APR and CL have been updated on the online profile.

Congratulations on this! That's awesome! I'm glad to see some people still getting lucky. I guess they like for us to spend before they give out CLI...but not too much.

I feel like this does help to have more time with them but for sure some people have gotten these without much history at all. And I think it depends on what your Util looks like to them over all your cards and not so much how many cards or total CL.

Thanks !
I spend moderately on this card: mostly for groceries and gas. This quarter was also a bonus quarter for dining (special offer). When I first got the card I also used it for some other expenses like air tickets, car insurance etc. I carried balance for 9 months straight. 5-6 of those months were 80%+. The first (auto) CLI came as soon as I brought that util to zero. I was in fact scared of Barclays balance chasing me but that didn't happen.
Nowadays my util (while reporting) varies between 0-10% on this card.
I updated my income and spend on the card. Also, if it helps, I have one inquiry on TU that's <1 year (last April).
Not a SP, but I got approved for a Ring for CL larger than both my other Barclay's cards today.
