If my income is $57750, then Amex will only give up to 40%?
My CL is currently 15k and I was going to request 25k (to avoid verification). Based on this tidbit, I should only request 23.1k CL?

Personally, I tend to request less, but it's up to you, and the amount of credit you want spread around cards,
I requested 23k and was countered immediately at $21,900. I accepted. (even if I hate that its not a nice even number! lol)

Most likely Declined. Yes.
You could call in and ask them to review the request.

Went through the automated method tonight, requested $9,000 as it is 3x, instant approval to $9k CL
Great writeup! I do have a question though. I already have 10K CL, but I don't necessarily need a 30k CL. Can I request a CI, but not 3x? If I can, do I call customer service, and request the CI I would like? Thanks!
Have a question for you guys. I opened my first amex on 9/10/14. I believe tomorrow will be my 61st day. Am I correct?

Instant approval to $6,000. I'm looking forward to requesting another 3X CLI in May lol

In the screens, you put in the amount you are requesting to be your new CL. This thread is communicating out that the automated method is authorized to approve you up to 3x automatically, IF you pass the data analysis that has been developed about your account from repeated SP inquiries. The point is, if you want to, you can go for 3x. It is not at all mandatory.
If you want to ask for less, you are free to do that. As far as I know, you could go from $10,000 to ask for a new CL of $10,100 and it would pass. Then, you have to wait 6 months for the next auto CLI request.
