I tried to do CLI on both my Everyday/BCE when I activated the card, do I have to wait 90 days now or still 61 days?
OK guys question... I know its been asked but there seems to be conflicting answers...
If I apply for the cli and get denied then its 90 days... but what if I try again before the 90 days pass? Does it reset the clock and I start ALL over again? or is it still 90 days from the original denial? thanks!!
It'll be 90 days from the original denial.

Thanks brotha!
Got a 3x CLI upon activation!
Got my BCE this afternoon from the nice UPS man. I had applied on Friday and was granted a $1,000 CL. (EX 726, four lates from 2009, AAoA 11 years, util 1%, two Signature cards in CR, previous clean Amex Green card holder from 1991-2010, so not sure why the low limit but I'm happy to be approved). I thought it wouldn't matter if I waited 61 or 90 days, so just decided to go for it and got $3,000.
But man, the physical card is so flimsy I am afraid that if I leave it in the sun it will melt away.
Everyone keeps saying different things, so I asked a CSR.
I applied for a credit limit increase on my BCP in January and was approved for 3x. Reapplied for another 3x CLI after 60 more days, they said it had to be 6 months for the second CLI. 6 months from the date of the last increase. No worrying about any resetting or clock.
I've heard conflicting reports that if initially approved through a soft pull a hard pull will show up after the CLI... So for those who have gotten the 2-3x cli through soft pulls, did a hard pull eventually show up after you were approved?
Background on my situation:
I'm waiting on a DD car accident settlement which should pay off most of my cc debt, but I got 2 amex cards 3 months ago that dinged my experian report (I tried to get 2 cards on 1 HP, but didn't work out for me, so got 2 HP's), and they also lowered my average credit card account age to around 2 years (with 6 years being oldest cc). I also want to a apply for a personal loan of 10-15K to consolodate remaining cc debt, but mostly to help fund a part time business. It looks like most of the the personal loan places look at experian, so I'm trying to make sure nothing else dings my experian report before I try for that personal loan. Also if I request a CLI from barclay who usually pulls transunion, there is no chance of a personal loan company pulling experian seing that TU pull right?
Question... I just recently PIF my Amex, but I messed up and did it after the cut date, so the balance will be reported. If I go to request my 3x CLI now, would AmEx see it as a zero balance or see what it shows on the CR? Just trying to figure out if I should hold off until the next statement cut or not...
