That's great. My score just went up 20 pts from 667. It's now 687. I'm due to request and increase tomorrow. When I was approved for the card in September it was 648

Re: The Definitive Amex 3X CLI Guide

So I was approved for my Blue cash rewards card July 6th 2015.  I requested by 3x on July 14th 2015 and was approved. When can I request another 3x increase?

Re: The Definitive Amex 3X CLI Guide

So since I have 10,000 now, I should ask for 30? I bet they would want income verification for that amount..

You can ask for whatever you want. There's. I way to tell if they will ask for income verification. All I know regarding that is what people have stated based on their own experience, but we're not provided with the reason. Based on the reviews sometimes asking for more than $25k triggers it. Some aren't asked at all and some are asked when requesting less. No one really knows.

Re: The Definitive Amex 3X CLI Guide

OK this is some rackelfrackel BS!!!! I just got my denial letter from AMEX regarding my 3X CLI from $1k to $3k. This is what it says:

Based on your credit report you have one or more revolving accounts with balances that exceed the credit limit.

I am like **bleep**!!!! ALL my revolving credit accounts have a balance of $0 when I applied for the CLI on December 29, 2015. OK another thing is the letter said at the time on December 19, 2015 my FICO score was 717 but according to AMEX and myFICO my score is 735...What in ALL THE HELL is going on here? I am reading other people's accounts that they had lower credit scores and having tens of thousands of dollars in initial credit limits. Also I closed two accounts that where long standing $0 accounts...UGH...This makes me sick...So what are my options guys? Do I dispute this if so how would I go about doing that? Should I just wait 90 days to "try" again? I don't get this guys I really don't. I pay my credit cards to $0 every month...What in ALL THE HELL??!! I am just angry and frustrated I am doing the so-called right thing but I feel like I am not getting rewarded for my good behavior my financial behavior that is.....SIGH.....

Re: The Definitive Amex 3X CLI Guide

1.Closing accounts reduces your account age. And if the balance is $0 why close them? Just put them away. 2. If your balances are $0 then they will see no need for an increase. 3. If your initial limit was only $1000 you were probably borderline approval and it'll probably be harder getting an increase.
