Daaaaaang now you're tempting me to try when I get mine in a couple days.
Do it!!! It will be another data point to add! You get asked your income and that is it. There was a poster in another thread that got denied and the denial letter instructed him to request it after 60 days. Who knows what their rational is, or maybe they are running a "special" promotion or something. But there is nothing to lose and your 180 days will come sooner if you are planning to request another increase...

There wasn't really any myths shattered but congrats on your increase.
Yes there was. The myth that you have to wait 62 days. Clearly you don't have to. And thanks for the good will.

Whoa! Congrats! I had read that any CL request over $25k with AMEX would prompt them to ask for documentation such as tax forms.

Thanks to you! I thought of that also, and almost went for $ 25k, but then said... whatever.....It worked! I would have never guessed it. Sharing information in these forums is the key!

But I thought if you got denied you had to wait more than the 61 days, maybe the 181? So everyone was advising just go ahead and wait for the 61 days. I'm not sure, my head is spinning from all the rules lol.

Some who got denied upon activation, received a letter instructing them to apply at the 61 days. And at that point, they got their approval. The 181 days apply AFTER you get the actual CLI. So it makes no sense waiting 62 days to make the initial request because you are just delaying your future CLI request after that one.

Very interesting. Was your CLI request online or did you call/chat with a CSR?
