I have a question for people on this thread. I just got an AMEX Blue Everyday Card, and was planning to sock drawer it..MAYBE use it for once a month for 50 dollars or less. Would this hurt my chances of a 60 day CLI? Do they like to see a lot of spend through the card to be considered, or have others not used the card much if at all and still ben granted a cLI?

I can confirm small amounts still result in a CLI mom used her card only a few times and no issue.
But there should be SOME spend right, not just outright sock drawer it? Maybe 30-40 bucks a statement ok? (mmmm sushi)

Yes! some spend would be fine I really do think it's just a matter of the account being open for 60 days mom only spent 20 -70 bucks between statements.
@Anonymous Did you Amex BCE come with a signup bonus?

I started fixing my credit early last year and so far it's been great. I finally got approved for my first AMEX card (ED) in June of 2017 w/ a SL of $500 (FICO @ 672) and enrolled through the credit steps program. I used it heavily and always PIF (even though the letter said it must report a balance). After the 2nd statement, I kind of lapsed and forgot about the due date so I PIF'd 3 days after it was due but before the statement cut. I requested for CLI after 61 days - denied. After the 6th statement cut in December, they increased my limit to $1000.
In January this year, I saw that I was "pre-approved" to apply for BCE on my account and that they just needed me to input my income. I went for it and got approved for $2k SL. Early this month, I requested for a CLI on the ED card (91 days after I got my auto-CLI) and requested for 5k, they countered w/ 3K (3x) which I happily accepted (FICO @ 689). On the same day, I also applied for the Blue Delta Skymiles which was also a no HP on my credit and just income info and it was approved for $8k.
Question - has anyone been successful in getting a CLI inside the 6 months of getting an increase from a different AMEX card? I'm thinking of asking for the 3x CLI on the BCE that I opened in January.
Thanks.
Amex considers all your cards as a single account and the rule is one CLI every 180 days. I'm afraid what you're asking isn't possible.
