Justed wanted to say thanks for everyone's advice especially BrutalBodyShots. I asked for the full 48k and was instantly approved. I wasn't prompted at all with the IV. Very informative forum and appreciate all the help.
Excellent work and fantastic limit! Way to go for top dollar as to not leave anything on the table. I'm very happy for you that you got the full amount with your first try. Hopefully others in the future will look back to this post of yours and shoot high with confidence.
I'm curious...
I'm around 36K income, my scores are current in my signature, I've had my AMEX BCE with a 10K SL since the end of December. I never did the CLI "trick." I just got preapproved, apped, and approved for their Hilton Honors with a 5K SL last Sunday. Would it be worth it for me to hit the luv button with AMEX and see if I can get that to a 15K limit or so or just stick to what I have? Thoughts?

I'm curious why the Hilton card CL is only half that of the BCE?
I'm not sure when Income comes into play, but you could try a CLI on the BCE. Then split the CL between those two cards. Which in theory would be more than the CLI on the Hilton card. And would have to wait 60 more days anyway. BCE can be done now.

I'm not sure why the SL on the Hilton was half of the BCE. Honestly, I was shocked when the BCE SL came back at what it did. It could be because only had a couple of other cards reporting and the AAoA was 2 years old. I'm guessing since I've added a few since, that's why the Hilton came in lower. The 5K SL is still pretty nice. I guess I can try the luv button. The worst they can say is no and it's only an SP, eh?
Btw, if I may ask, what do you mean about splitting the CLI between the two?
If you have two revolving cards with amex, you can transfer a part of your CL from one to the other.
Say your BCE is $30K, you can likely move $10K of it to the Hilton card. It depends on your current balance and available CL.

Does anyone know if it's possible to check for the exact date of a past amex cli?
I'm approaching my 180 days. I went from 2k to 6k and I'm hoping for 18k. But I don't know the day I received the cli.
It's very possible that your last CLI date is the date that you last updated your income. Income is always updated when you request a CLI. Hit the Accounts and Services link, then hit the Update Your Income link under Personal Details.
