This worked for me, found out about this from a YT video but they credited these forums so thanks for the hard work and research.
I was so skeptical but didn't see any downsides, I only started building my credit back in Oct 2018. I shy'd away from credit cards after screwing up in the 1990's.
Went from 5k->15k on a Cash Magnet card, my credit score varied from 704 (fico) to 734 (credit karma). I had a little utilization, mostly using their PLANIT feature, paying the 'adjusted balance' in full + extra. The account was only 101 days old. My CL's before this big jump were around 6k across 3 cards, basically Amex is most trusting. My income (household) is 50k.

Good to know the Plan It feature doesn't hinder a CLI!
My 181 day mark for a possible 3X CLI is coming up quick and I wanted to get some input before I make the request. A brief history with AMEX....BCP mid '17 SL 1.4k, 3x at 61 days to 4.2k, CLIs at 181 day increments to 7k-10k-16.9k and in the interim I have picked up the EDP - 12k SL, HIlton - 2k SL (now 7k each after moving limits around) and PRG.
My concern is this...I have only ever requested a CLI on the BCP and am approacing the IV threshold so I am wondering if i should start asking for CLIs on my EDP or new Hilton (over 61 days) card. Thoughts?
On July 26th, at my 181 day mark, I requested a CLI on my BCP card from $24K to $48K--double my SL rather than 3X.
I immediately received the 7-10 day message, which I assumed was a denial. However, on July 28th I received an Email asking for approval of the 4506-T form to verify my income. I happily authorized that and settled in to wait.
Today I logged on to the AMEX website and discovered that my CLI had been granted in full to $48K. That only took about a week and a half. Thanks, AMEX!

Oh man OP, congratulations on a very nice CLI. Kudos to you.
I decided to go for a CLI on my BCP yesterday since they stole $5K from my old BCE to approve my BBP card's limit. So I asked for a new CL of $10K, up from $5,400 and was intantly approved. I didn't ask for much because I didn;t really need it, and wasn't wanting to be greedy. lol
But in hindsight I felt like I should have just went for $15K so that I could even out all my accounts. But at least my BCP is now a nice round number. There's always 181 days later for the rest.
Another DP here. Was just denied for the 3x CLI on my new BCE card with them. For context, I did request a CLI 10 days after account opening thinking the clock would not reset. However, when I called to inquire as to why I was denied, the CSR cited generice denial reasons, such as length of time as customer, balances not paid down sufficiently, etc.
She also mentioned it was because my previous request was denied and thus I needed to wait 90 days since that denial instead of going by their 60 day policy. I postured a bit and said that those were two separate policies and I was unaware that they would be used together. She mentioned that sometimes policies can be interlinked. That being said, she said I should wait the full 90 days after that initial request which is only 30 days away. My EX score they had on file is a 701 so there's that also.
One other interesting thing is that when I called the number listed in the email they sent regarding my increase it says I haven't requested an increase in the past 90 days. So that's odd.
Today marked my next 181 day CLI. I tried this morning and got the 7 - 10 day message. I'll touch base when I hear back. Has the system changed recently to where you are notified about the 4506-T via email after you are given the 7 - 10 day message within the site?
In 36 hours I'll be in a similiar situation as a few of you. My Hilton Aspire is at $27k and on Thursday it will be 181 days since the 3x CLI That got me here ($9k to $27k.) Debating what amount to ask for, knowing even asking for a 2x CLI will likely need verification (Which I have no issue doing) however would rather do the less intrusive amount, like maybe $35k?
Well, I open my Amex card on July 3rd, 2019. So 61 day will be Labor Day. Can't wait to see if it will jump up higher. I got approved for 2k CL and my income is currently 14,742.
So if I am reading this right, if I do get denied on the 61st day for a CLI, would I need to wait 6 months or 90 days before trying another stab at Amex, right???
