Also, on the Amex credit monitoring website that they have for free, it shows a late payment in the last two years that it says is negatively effecting my score. But I 100% don't have a late payment and I have no clue where to find out where exactly they're getting that information from.
Is this something I could call them about? No other credit monitoring service says this. Only Amex's service. I had a hard pull two months ago for a car loan and a hard pull about 8 months ago from a mortgage company (to see where I stand because I'm buying a house next year and wanted zero surprises), and neither of those two reports showed a delinquent payment other than the 30 day late that's supposed to drop off in 5 months.

I think SL is least important when it comes to Amex since you have potential for 3X CLIs. Whether you start with a $3k limit or a $10k limit, the potential is there for it to be $27k-$35k in approximately 8 months time from account opening. Obviously success with that growth is all profile-dependent, but a lower verses higher SL isn't a big deal at all with Amex IMO relative to other lenders where you have to wait longer for an increase and the increase potential is far less.
Totally understand the 3x limit route, but would rather start with $3k vs $1k if there's a card that's typically more generous than others when it comes to SL.
Thanks for the tips. I really appreciate everyone's input.

I don't believe that there is.

You need to pull a copy of your real credit report, as that's what matters and what other lenders would see. If that report is clean, you've got nothing to worry about and can chalk it up to CMS software error on the part of Amex. If you then wanted to contact them to let them know about the error you could.
@Anonymous a $1k SL is usually indicative of someone barely getting approved. I for example burned Amex ages ago and got back in with them with a $1k SL on a Delta Gold. In time as my profile improved, I applied for another card and got a higher SL. It took me about 8 mths to go from $1K SL on 1 card to getting $9K via a CLI at 61 days on my 2nd card. I go for CLI on the card that has the highest SL and then I redistribute it around the other cards. If you play by the rules (always PIF and on time ofc) with Amex, they will reward you.
There is no language about SP or HP when requesting a CLI on the business side. My two Amex cards are business cards.

Did the language on the CLI page indicate SP or HP language? If it was stated SP and you ended up with a HP, I would contest it with Amex.
Good information. I was not aware of how business card CLI requests were handled.
In most instances things seems to work the same. The 3x formula worked (no hard-pull). My next CLI wasn't auto approved, but was approved and I received a hard-pull (maybe manual review?). CLI a few days ago auto approved with no hard-pull.

As a reminder to everybody and to help keep things on track, discussion in the CC Applications subforum of MF including this thread is limited to personal cards. Discussion regarding business cards should be handled in Business Credit.
Thanks for your understanding.
Randomly looked at my spreadsheet today and noticed I had went past the 6 month periods for requesting my next set of CLI's.
Just went from $68K on my BCP to $73.3K. Had asked for $85K, $75K, etc. and kept getting the same $73.3K and took it.
Should have asked for $73K even, but oh well.
Gonna have to go for an even number 6 months from now. No 4506T yet! /knock on wood
