I finally figured out why the shopping cart trick doesn't work for me. American Express put a fraud alert on my credit report when I thought my credit card has been compromised. But also I got really angry about pre-offers a couple years ago and put an opt out on Trans Union. I didn't know it was on my credit report until two days ago when I viewed my Trans Union credit report and some app out screening and it had an expiration date on there. Now I don't feel so bad! I was so disheartening that the shopping cart track never worked for me. And every time I applied for credit I got the 7 to 10 day message that was the call for verification I applied at Lowe's today and when the clerk said my application was on hold that she had to call the credit line I felt Sherwood and I have the credit card because I knew they were verify my identity. It makes me want to put a fraud alert on doing the Christmas holidays because that's when a lot of people usually identity for Fraud
