I did not decrease my TLs, however, these are the first apps since I got married and now that I can report both of our incomes, apparently Chase wants me to have more credit! That, and I am a heavy spender on my CSP and pay off immediately.
I will likely disperse my TL to my CSP to make that 30k and then decrease the IHG to 10k. I do not need more than that on IHG and I rarely use Freedom/Hyatt, so no need to increase 5k lines on those.
I understand that I am unable to transfer credit from personal to business, but assuming I make these decreases, I assume this will play a role in the available credit Chase is willing to give me on a legitamate Business card (Ink)?

Things have changed a bit apparently. When I opened my first chase business card the ink bold they pulled 5k off my CSP to open the ink card. Later when they turned the Bold into a revolver instead of a charge card they gave me a limit of 12k. Like a month and a half ago I opened up a Ink plus card and was given a 10k line without recon. I have 64.4k of overall credit with Chase now across all cards. 22k of that is business credit. If I had to guess I would think lowering your overall personal exposure will help your biz app, but I don't think your first chase business card will be has big of an initial credit line has your personal cards. My experience has been my business card approvals tend to be half of what my personal card approvals are. I don't keep my business accounts with chase so if you do that makes a difference. Also, the most I run through the business cards is 2-3k a month, but for people with heavy business spend I can see the credit lines for those people's cards growing to meet the spending needs. Since my business credit lines are more than adequate for my needs I don't see Chase increasing them nor do I really care, because the business lines won't help my util anyway.
I apped for the Marriott on the 10th, every time I called status line said 30 days. Then on the 22nd I apped for Freedom through chases websites pre-Q that said 7/10 days need more time to review. Now every time I call status line it automatically tries to transfer me to a person. What should I do? Sucks now that I can't check the status without being transferred.
Thanks for your advice.
Also haven't received anything in the mail, or email.
Should I call to see if it's Verification, then if they try to transfer me to lending hang up?
If it was me..... I wouldn't call......or at least wouldn't call until I was a 2 days PAST the 30 day mark...... I know it is hard to wait, but hang in there.
I thought after 30 days, they would have to pull fresh reports.
Apped for Marriott on the 10th. Then apped for Freedom on 22nd.
Today Chase sent me a letter saying, they declined me for "Too many requests for credit or open accounts with us"
I wish they would send me a letter telling me if I'm approved or denied for the Marriott.
Would they have already declined me for it by now. Or do they take longer with the Marriot. Just apped for that one 12 days before Freedom.
:Update called verification on April 1st. Approved $15k
Just to update this thread: (app'd on 3/23)
got out a call from verification on Tuesday (3/29)
wanted to text me a code to verify who i was only.....
then an told me it would be sent off for approval and I'd get an answer within 2 weeks
how accurate is this (considering I was contacted by verification)
personally I believe if I'm not approved TODAY that I'll be denied (waaaaaaay past 5/24, and I haven't even received my CSP in the mail yet)
I apped on the 10th. When I call robo-lady It automatically tries to transfer me. I hang up when it starts ringing.
I haven't received anything in the mail yet. Should I call after 5pm, in the hopes of not speaking with lending?
