I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the 50k US Airways Barclaycard so that I have the option of being grandfathered into their AA program when it all merges next year. I applied for my Arrival + 6 months ago tomorrow I think. Instant approval for $5k, i recon'd for $15k and then added $2.2k when I closed my Apple Financing for my current total line of $17.2k. I've carried a large balance every month since I've had it of around $5-7k, I've been paying off around $2-3k month and adding new charges, so quite a lot of activity. It's at 0% hence carrying the balance - I'll be paying it off in full pretty soon before the 0% ends.
Just wondering what Barclays will think. I doubt I'll get a 6 month CLI given that I recon'd initially. They seem to be pushing the U.S. Airways cards heavily so that might work in my favor. I could transfer some CL too if Barclays allows that. I was planning on waiting until the 6th statement posts (tomorrow) and then trying.
ETA - TU has dropped lately due to some utilization and is around 706. Only 1 or 2 inqs.
Thoughts?

You'll likely get approved.
Should I definitely wait until it's been over 6 months? Which is a couple more days.
I dunno.
I applied for the US Airways less than 6 weeks after I applied for the Sallie Mae.

You're making me itchy! I think I'm going to just wait for that 6th statement to post and then give it a go.
