Cool beans! Thanks for the info.
Yeah, I just get told no payment due on no due date, no previous payment; what I meant by the '$0's'. Can't get any other information out of the automation and the stuff I did try, led me to CS and they just said I had to wait for the letter. I'll report back when I know for sure. If it is verification, along with you having a similar experience, could be a way for people to tell what their Comenity 7-10 message means for them.Typically, the available credit and/or CL aren't released or unrestricted until verification occurs. Once that step is completed, activation of the CC will release the available credit. As for the 7-10 message, that's actually a toss up. Some are additional verification instances (such as your situation) while others will be a decline.
Let us know the outcome.
Yeah, but I was saying if you call in with the 7-10 and it reports some sort of information as it did in your case and if it does it in mine, could be a way to determine what it means. Unless of course it does this even on 100% declines too. Again, all assuming that mine is verification and not the latter.
Submit app > 7 - 10 message > NO account information found = Decline!
Submit app > 7 - 10 message > Something gets reported back* = Verification
* Again, just a hunch and totally presuming that they don't still create something 100% of the time at the point of initial application submission.
Apologies if you got what I was suggesting. Wasn't sure with your post. My initial read took it as you thought I was confused that a 7-10 could be a bad thing too or something else other than verification. Either way, hope that makes it more clear what I was suggesting earlier. No worries, I undertood your logic.
What I would say, for the bolded items, is that there is still a 7-10 day instance that may not have account information to confirm (when calling the automated system) but does not always lead to a decline. This happened several years ago with an A&F CC. While no additional verification correspondence generated, their internal review and verifications process took a while (almost 3 weeks) and it was eventually approved. No letter arrived, just the card. So, it's a great guidance to go by in most situations, but there will always be outliers.
Gotcha! Darn! Thought we had figured out a sneaky way to help decrypt what the message meant for those impatient peoples like myself. Yeah, I read about people just being sent cards too with the messages and no verification and/or letters stating why they got the message.
So...this just got emailed to me couple hours ago. No information regarding limit or even mentioning my name. Just...welcome and my card is on the way. Interesting.. Wonder if Comenity and Caesars got something crossed while waiting for verification or something. hMph!
*EDIT* - Called in and it asked me for different verification this time: being a phone number, then my zip and then asked if I would like to add my phone number. Also let me go through the speal of trying for a CLI with/out a HP, declined both. Still won't give me any information regarding what the limit is, just the same stuff it was saying before in regards to that and when I got through to someone, they asked me to call back in an hour because their systems are being updated or something right now.
After multiple calls through out the morning due to extended system maintenance, found out it was approved for $1000! Little lower than I was hoping for, but it should grow - right? Every 4m1d for Comenity Visas you can get one if you qualify, if I've read correctly.
Also, should this process of it having to be manually reviewed and not being an instant approval, help out with the account closure garbage that can happen? Or could I still be at risk? Honestly forgot a lot of what I read when it comes to this and don't really wanna re-read a bunch of stuff to see.
