Total Rewards - CLI increase question?

People familiar with this card, I thought the CLI's were every 4 months with this card?  I got the approved and a HP on June 13th of this year.. I hit the button this morning and got the 7-10 day message, we all know what that means..  I thought it was going to be pretty much given I was going to get a CLI today on this card..  Is it pretty much always 4 month intervals or does it sometimes take longer on this card?  By no means am I running alot through the card, probably have put 500 through it since I have got the card is all..  Just a buffer/back-up Visa.

I do have all my CB's on ice, but don't expect that changed the results.  Maybe I hit it to early?  I hit it at 6:30 am CST..  Maybe try again tomorrow?  Or is sometimes it 6-9 months with this card?  Could of sworn it was every 4 months on the dot for this particular card.

Re: Total Rewards - CLI increase question?

I have had the card since late April...Just received my first cli 2 weeks ago..11,000 ---> 12,500. The 4 month rule does not seem to apply here...and I have put over 10K on the card since. My CB's are on ice as well..so it makes no difference.

Hpe that helps...just think...if we had barneys credit cards our lines would be over 80K now :0

Re: Total Rewards - CLI increase question?

Interesting.. Thanks for the info.. So you tried every few weeks I am taking until you got it?   Seems like you were 6 months?  It appears most people are 4 months, but figured there were a few of us that might take longer.  Oh well..  Sucks as thought it was shoe in for a CLI increase today, but will have to live with my 8k CL for the moment.  Not that I need it, just want itSmiley Happy..  Suprised you put so much through it considering the other cards you have return way better rewards/returns.   Any particular reason?

Re: Total Rewards - CLI increase question?

CLIs are not guaranteed after x amount of time. So the exact minute you hit the button is probably irrelevant. You have to remember that you cannot establish a "set in stone" rule because 5 cardholders on a forum got a CLI after 4 months.

All you can do is wait and keep trying. My BJ's Mastercard from Comenity took 6 months or more before I got any type of CLI.

Re: Total Rewards - CLI increase question?

I travel to vegas a lot for business,,,so whenever I am there I use the card. Put about 1500 - 2000 a month on it. I must have hit the luv button at least once every 2 weeks...kept getting that no luv letter Smiley Happy  Then one day, about 2 weeks ago, i hit the luv button an before i could even input my income I received the increase screen. I was shocked lol.

I thought, as did you (especially after reading all the posts here) that the 4 month rule was a lock. Sadly, it isnt (still waiting for my first cli on the Virgin America card). I guess the store cards are more geared towards the monthly, quarterly cli's. Maybe. The card, just to let you know, is great in vegas. When I stay as caesars they treat me like caesar himself...could not be happier.

One last point...and very important (I think)...kept reading threads about cli's being HP's....well...i dont ever have to worry about that b/c, like you, all my CB's are iced...so, whenever I hit that button...if I get it..I get it...if i don't...I don't. But I know there will be no HP Smiley Happy  Smiley Happy

Bingo not going to risk a HP on a comendity card lol, just a new account or an existing account that I really use and need a CLI.. This account is just a nice to have account lol.  Ya if you travel to vegas alot for work and stay at Caesar's then using this card would make sense for you for sure.  Noticed any changes in service since Ceaser's etc is in BK protection atm?  Meaning notice service going down or staying good as ever?

Re: Total Rewards - CLI increase question?

CC, you probably hit it a little early. I know you know this, but Comenity CLIs are based on time intervals. I'd wait another week or so and try it again.

thanks ya will be meshing the button every week from now on lol..  They are time based.. Granted nothing is guranteed, but comenity cards are completly computer generated decisions as customer service agents can't do notta.

FWIW just called customer service and asked them about EMV version of the card and it will be out January and shipped then.. Not sure why they are so behind on this particular card.  Only card without chip.
