Total Rewards Verification

So I called apped about a week ago.. Got a letter that they couldn't identify me with social security number or identification number.. Is this verification or denial? How do I resolve this?

Sounds like a denial, unfortunately.

Did they give you a number to call with a reference #??  Or did the letter say...we couldnt approve your app blah blah...or did it say we need to talk to you and verify you further??

We are unable to approve application, because we could not verify SSN you provided in the application against a CRA..

Call the Recon line and they may verify. It could have been a typo or something. Doesn't hurt to try. It's not like you got the HP did you?

So I was finally able to speak to a rep via consumer relations number(not the easiest task)... I was told that some numbers were transposed and did match CR. He advised reapplying in 30 days. I asked about sending proof. He said I could send ss card and I'd, but most people don't like sending that information (I wasn't uneasy until he said that).. Either way would result in another HP ( yup got HP with wrong SSN?!). I don't this card us worth 2 pulls but I will think about it.

I wouldn't agree to the extra pull either. Keep calling back and pressing the issue. Ask for a supervisor.
