Hello Everyone, first of all, thank you all for your help, i'm going to disney world on september and i've been thinking about getting a travel card, i'm really new to the credit card game so i don't know if that would be a good idea, my plan would be to apply for the chase sapphire preferred in march, would i have a chance of approval or should i wait?
I don't know if this help but i've been banking with chase for 3 years (chase checkings account).

Probably you wouldn't qualify for the Chase Sapphire cards, because they look for experience with limits of $5k or more.
You might be better off just going for cash back with your existing cards.

Ok, thanks for the advice!
Have you considered the NFCU FlagShip? You may be eligible for a 2nd card at 91 days and 3 full statements from last NFCU approval. Hopefully, the SUB Sign Up Bonus will come back in March.

Not really, due to me trying to get into the whole Chase ecosystem but thank you, I'll look into it.

I agree with your approach. I was thinking of recommending some lesser travel cards, but refrained because I think it is prudent of you to hold out for the top of the line card, rather than loading up with less useful stuff.

Thanks, yeah, I wouldn't like to get any cards with less useful stuff, since I'm fine with the setup I have at the moment and since Chase is my primary bank, the CSP seem interesting but I'll also look into the flagship, it does seem like a good card and NFCU has been pretty good to me.
IMO, take a shot a CSR with an in person application. Look to hit the reconsideration line. If that fails, look at where Chase wants improvement within your credit profile.
Hit Navy up at the 91/3 mark. You should get at least 10k. The 10k over six months to a year should satisfy Chase for the Sappire.

I wouldn't encourage a CSR in-person application. The minimum SL requirement is $10K for the Visa Infinite which the OP's profile wouldn't support at this time. They can certainly check with a banker to determine if there's any pre-approved offers, but the CSR application isn't going to have extra juju just because they apply in-person with a banker.
By in person, do you mean applying at my local branch?
And do you think it would be a good idea to do it during March or wait a month more?
