I contacted Truist to request a CLI on my credit card account. I was advised they like the account to be at least 12 months old but that I can apply now If i choose to (mine is 6 months old). They asked questions and submitted the request then advisd it would take up to 2 days for me to find out if it was approved or not and that i would be notified by email and regular mail. They did not say anything about it being a hard pull but I know Truist does hard pull for CLI requests.
Is this the typical process with Truist when you request a CLI with them or does this mean I was probably denied?
I assume that is the normal process. If approved you should see it in your account within 4 to 5 days.
What is your CL? I hope you asked for the moon based on it being a HP. I think I seen one OP having a limit of 9k and asking for 25k with success.
Do share your DP, as there's not much on Truist CLI's.

Seems silly to take 2 days.

My current credit line with Truist is 5K. I asked for a 4K increase as I was too chicken to try for more than that. My equifax score is 720 and my current truist balance is around 30% I have 6 inquiries and have put heavy usage through this card the 6 months ive had it. Just got an email from Truist saying Thank you for applying for a BBT card creditline increase.

Was the request granted?

Yes, that is their standard process. Keep us posted.

If the online account portal doesn't reflect the change within 72 hours then it's likely it wasn't approved. Hopefully, you'll hear something positive🤞

@user979797 as noted above this is the process. I waited 14mos before requesting a CLI. The CL was updated on the website the following afternoon.
Just as a DP: the CSR told me it would be a SP because they used the same method as applying for a new card. I said great, never received any alerts so thought she was correct. But then I received a price you pay letter, pulled my EQ report and it was actually a hard inquiry. I've had this happen in the past, cant remember which bank, where you don't receive any alerts but there was actually a hard inquiry. Maybe it's the way they request the report? SP to review, HP if approved? Have no clue.
Anyway, good luck on your CLI !
I got a hard pull on Equifax from Truist. I hope it has a good outcome
