Re: U S Bank Altitude Reserve Denial

Got my rejection letter. Said too many tradelines in 12 month period so at least they aren't looking at 24 months period.

So, are they looking at 2/12 or less than 1/12?

I think it's a bit more complex than just number off accounts, especially for an existing customer like yourself.

Less is certainly better, but for a bank that cannot get their tech to work on the weekends, they sure had a lot of information available when I did my interrogation for Cash+.

Everything was in play, new accounts, income (thanks EWS), asking to confirm professional license number (thanks Sage Stream), spending on other cards, and because balances from previous months and amounts paid on some of them were mentioned (that was a good thing) there would of have to be some trended data used.

While they were by far more pleasant than Chase analysts, I had a very distinct feeling that one bs word coming from me would mean "Off you go now. Shoo shoo!!!".

I got AR two months later, any by then I exceeded 3/6, but that was instant approval, so it does not follow the logic of 1/12, 2/12 or 3/12.

AR was 4/12, instant approval.

So, if you're going to recon, be prepared to address quite a few things because they will ask, regardless of what letter says.

Re: U S Bank Altitude Reserve Denial

When I was denied back in June, the rep I talked to kind of hinted that you should be under 4/12. She told me I did not need to wait for all my accounts to age to 12 months.

Of course, things could have changed in the last few months and they may want you to have even less now 🤷🏽
