Hi, why would you take off a fraud alert if you actually had a serious fraud issue?. I keep mine on regardless as some of my info is out there as is many thanks in part to Equifax and other breaches. Its quite possible Disco wants to make sure its you who applied and its in your best interest.
Tread carefully with Discover. I opened an account, started using it, then got a verification email. I already had a card with them but was pre-approved so I opened a second account. They wanted my tax return transcript. No problem, right? So I order the transcript and upload it. Then they tell me that is has to come from the IRS. I then call the IRS and they told me for security reasons they could only send it to me, not a third party. So catch 22. Discover had no solution or compromise and stated they would have to close the new account. Oh and by the way, they said they now needed the transcript for my original card that was open for a year. I was never late and always paid in full. I spoke to a manager and he said sorry, once you are "flagged for verification" it applies to all of your accounts. TLR - Discover did me dirty. I will never do business with them. YMMV.
@AverageJoesCredit I have to actually renew yearly so I am going put the alert back on! Thank you!
@Anonymous should I let Discover know about my income when I talk to them tomorrow or wait and update my income on Discover's website once I am logged in?

If they ask you your income give them the correct information. I would not offer info they are not asking for. Just answer their questions honestly.
Thanks
Mark
