Yikes, indeed!
Call them tomorrow and see why it was denied. Some denials can be reconed, while others are "try again later"
If they allow recon, there is usually another HP. One other thing, even if recon works, dont be surprised if you get a bit lowballed on SL.
It's ok if they give me a low limit, as long as they give me something lol

At least you got some answers so if it still comes back as a denial you know what you need to work on
How far back did she go back listing the pulls? 12 months, 24 months, etc?

Other cards I'm looking at: AS biz (just opened a BoA biz checking to hopefully get eligible), and a few consumer cards I'm interested in (chase Marriott to PC to RC, sapphire MDD next September, BoA VS and WoH and Aspire at some point).
I didn't even realize this was still possible and yet checking it out it is. Learn something new every day lol
As for your plan sounds good really if this app falls through. Sounds like it should be good to go when you're ready to pull the trigger on your wife's credit

Still denied on recon. Spoke to UW and I was specifically told that either 2 or 3 inquiries in one year is too many to be approved for AR. Whether it's 2 or 3 depends on other factors in the persons report.
That seems like odd information specific to inquiries. I had a TON of inquiries going into my application (lots of auto, one mortgage preapproval, 2x credit card inquiries).
Interesting data point nonetheless.

I think the info I was given is still valid for your experience. I'm assuming the rep I spoke to meant CC inquiries, and you would still fit with the 1-2 inquiry max then.
