US Bank Cash Plus

Hello everyone, I am looking for a little insight about the application process on this card. I have read many many post about how long US Bank takes and that nearly all apps go to manual review. I applied for it last Friday, tomorrow will be one week ago. I call the status line everyday to check, but I continue to get “i’m sorry, but I am unable to retrieve your information”. How many of you Familiar with this issuer, experienced this during your app? Is it pretty standard? I haven’t let it connect me to an underwriter, just figured it’s best to let a slow bank do it’s thing. Just perplexing how it seems to not exist at all with them. Lol. Any input would greatly appreciated, I kind of figure that maybe they will mail a big fat “no” next week. Hahahaha
TU Fico 08 sitting at 760 when apped, have allot of new accounts and inquiries though.

 If you didn't get a hard inquiry on TU report. I think there is a chance you entered wrong info on the application or it didn't go through to the bank.

 

Speak with UW and see what they have to say.

 

I was pre-qualified. Applied. Pending. Two days later approved for their famous $500 SL

I applied in branch(back in the day I think they made you do such things, they also let you get a bonus $25 everytime you redeemed $100 or more per yer). I was approved immediately. Are you sure you do not have a freeze or something on your reports?

I just got this card a few months back.

I had a USB Fred Meyer Rewards so already a relationship but I apped & got an immediate approval.

 

Have you talked to a rep? Or just a recording?

Just a recording, like I said in my post, have not let it transfer me to an UW. Was going to let them do their thing. Just curious if the “I’m sorry, we are unable to retrieve your information” has been heard by other folks? It’s perplexing how I have the hard pull, and the system accesses the app by social, yet it can’t tell me anything other than that.

It is a little strange..

Often you'll get a 7-10 message, for review soooo It's been 6 days...

I would give it til Monday & then I would speak to a human being. lol

Yes, I did receive the 7-10 day message when apped, just weird how all these post I have read, say something along the lines of “called status number and approved! Or called status line and denied!” Usually 2-3 days later, I have checked for 7 and All I get is we are unable to retrieve 😥

I have two cards from US Bank. I was preapproved for both, but when I applied, I was not instantly approved. When I called status line, I got the same message you got, that they could not retrieve my application or they didn’t have it on file or something to that effect. Anyhow, I was proactive and spoke with an UW. It turned out that they needed additional verification. After that I was given an approval of $15k for my cash+ and $15k on a platinum.

My advice to you would is let the call transfer you to an UW. If not, my guess they may send a letter stating they need additional verification. Good luck and keep us posted!!

US Bank had technical issues this week. Maybe that led to the delay. The reps were not able to access my account until this morning. 

I would not worry about the delay, I was just approved by US Bank for the Plat card and it went as follows:

 

Applied and recevied instant 7-10 day message. 

 

Called in a week later and was told my Starting Limit was $600

 

I spoke to underwriting and requested $15,000. They granted the total amount. 

 

The whole process took about 10 days from app to getting the CLI of the SL. 

 

I can see this being extended as their systems were down. 

 

If they give you a small SL, definitely speak to underwriting for a recon.  Good Luck.
