what I was dreading, happened.
USBank sent me the new Cash+ card and like they do nearly everyone - started me off at $500.00. lolwut?!
I called in and after correcting the CSR AND her Supervisor that a CLI was indeed within the ability of underwriting, the CSR contacted underwriting and asked them to do a manual review of the account. They agreed. I made it clear that I do not permit them to hardpull my TU again, and they agreed. I have to call back in 3 business days from now to see what determination they make. I asked that they at least match Chase and AMEX limits (20k) so we will see. If there is no increase or too modest of one, then I will bite the bullet from the TU hardpull and close the account. $500 isn't even enough to pad util.
I am disappointed. Stay away from US Bank everyone. Lesson learned the hard(pull) way.
That dark blue/purple card in my siggy may go *poof* next week.
Is that typical for them to send someone with good credit and high limits on other cards something so small?

And I though DW $4K limit was low Maybe I need to on line chat and ask them to match either her Amex $20K or Cap QC $7.5K which is about to become toast. That is a great idea asking them to match . We hardly use the card til now. With utility at 5% it will see some use.

I think this is what happens to everyone when the US Bank system picks a SL. Almost everyone has to recon with a person, and then a more suitable limit is given, unless there are a bunch of new accounts or something to make them cautious.
US Bank is very generous with their SL once you have established a relationship with them. I had 3 business accounts, 2 personal accounts, and a mortgage with them and at the time of apping for the mortgage I asked to use the HP for a revolver. I was instantly approved for Cash+ with 18k SL. A week later I went on the website and apped for the Plat and was instantly approved for 20k SL. They are HP crazy though, people do need to watch that, Ive seen them double pull on TU and EQ.
Hopefully they will give you a larger SL. However, if you are like me who was stuck at $500 even after multiple recons, at least get that sign up bonus! They also had something where if you redeem $100 at once they threw in a $25 Visa gift card. After I redeemed all my bonuses, I did end up closing my $500 Cash+ "signature" card. And just for grins, I checked Preapprovals earlier this week and there it is again...Maybe when my new accounts have aged I will try them again. Best of luck!
I am finally showing "You are prequalified for the offers below. Apply now" message. It's even with a fixed APR and the offers are Cash+ and Amex Cash 365. It's tempting, but don't want another toy limit.
