Yep, US Bank is known to give $500 limits.
Sorry about your Chase card. What happened?

True. But if OP's profile is thick enough and like 5+ years AAoA then I think he/she is safe enough and can withstand any SP AR from Chase just as long as the USB is the only one that's gonna show up in the next 60-90 days.
@FieryDance pull the trigger now while you have the best shot or for one year hold your peace.
Good Luck and keep us posted!
You're forgetting she applied for 2 chase cards on the same day. Add a 3rd card from a different bank within a week and someone at chase is going to be looking deeper into that profile.

OP used the modified double-dip technique, which requires same-day approval for the 1st card and then applying for the 2nd card the next day. Either way you don't want to do anything after the fact that gets Chase snooping around.

I did not.
After more research I decided to err on the side of caution and play nice. 😇I do still want to get in with US Bank and the Cash+ and this thread confirmed USB likes 0/6 and 0/12. My backup plan is my husband will be 0/6, 0/12, 2/24 in 2 months and I will task him with this app. His scores are only slightly lower but he has higher AAoA and fewer cards and HPs so hopefully US Bank will like his profile.
In this current economic climate, @FieryDance, that may be the smarter call. Lenders are not behaving as they were six months or a year ago, and outcomes for changes to our credit file can be difficult to predict. I admire your level-headedness to step back and not push too hard when you are in doubt. In time, I'm sure it will work out!

Interesting. I've always understood the MDD to be same day. Regardless, 3 cards in 5 days.

It was just double dip previously.
Modified double dip was coined because they had to modify it for different days (the very next day you need to be approved or it will fail).

Yes, double dip was apply for a CSR 1st thing on a weekday morning, if not instant approval call in immedately to push the app along for same day approval then when approved apply for the CSP same-day. When Chase had enough of that and started cancelling out the 2nd card some guinea pig discovered that a same-day approval on day 1 followed by a 2nd app the next day worked and the MDD was born.
This has decent potential to turn into modified disaster where both Chase cards are closed, Cash+ survives.
Regardless of fancy names we give it, Chase is not a big fan of this, and there is no "getting away with it". When we "get away with" things, its only because they let us, so I really wouldn't be trying to find out where their tolerance level is.
Go with the plan B, it's a much better one.

Exactly what I did. Though I don't believe the first card has to be a same-day approval but the second card has to be applied and approved the day after the first approval.
And yes, I will be gardening for 3 to 6 months before even contemplating anything else. 😇
