About a week ago... I had been Pre qualifying for a few cards on their website, firm mid range APR 18 or 19%. So I thought about leaving PNC. App for their gold checking account.

Was approved for the checking, If you have one of their credit products. The checking account is free, So after I opened up the checking account online. I immediately went to the pre qualifier link. The results came back recommended not pre qualified 😈

Do you think it's possible AWS/ARS had a play with this?

Now... I kinda wanna close the checking account any ideas?

When I tried opening an gold package checkings account they let me choose the credit card I wanted to get with the checkings. I didn't finish the application 100% though. I did it online. I don't know too much about it, just they offered a card with the checkings.

It was very late at night when I did it. It had me pick a card too, but I don't believe It said I was preapproved while I was looking through the cards though.

I never went pass the "Accept" term check. So that's good to know. I thought it was a pre approval type thing. I do plan on doing something similar like you in the up coming months though.

If you took a HP I would use the checking account to establish a relationship with USB. They are very generous with the SL on their cards once you have established that relationship. Good luck one way or the other..
