US bank Altitude Reserve App

My fiancé just app’d for the altitude reserve.

App went pending, she called underwriting. Who sent her to verification dept. talked to them and answered some questions. Kicked back to underwriting. They said 1-2 days and kept saying she would have the card by Friday.

After doing the application. It asked her for a balance transfer.

Do you think she was approved ?

Re: US bank Altitude Reserve App

The existing US Bank Card meets one of the key requirements.

With US Bank though you just have to wait for the decision.

The BT question is probably standard, in case of approval they would follow through. Language in the app does not obligate them to handle any BT unless they want to.

Best of luck

Re: US bank Altitude Reserve App

Got a notification from UPS, saying it was US bank that Shes getting a package tomorrow. Assuming that’s the card and it was an approval. Robo lady still says she can’t retrieve the app.

Also got approved for the CSP using the online Prequalified Offers over 5/24.

Re: US bank Altitude Reserve App

Nice, congrats on both.

In a year, she can PC her CSP to CSR if she meets the standard underwriting requirements.  Keep in mind she can "bank" her URs the first year and not redeem them so that when she upgrades to CSR she can get more value out of the URs.

Re: US bank Altitude Reserve App

Approved for USB AR. Limit hasn’t been determined yet. They said to call back at the end of the day and a limit would be determined by that time.

When I get home from work, going to app for the chase CSP myself and then have her add me as a joint account holder to the altitude reserve.
I got some collections removed after my scores updated this morning. So I believe I’m in the low 700’s now. Since before the collections were removed I was sitting around 670ish on all 3 agencies.

Now I just have to figure out what I want to do with the US bank Flex Perks Travel Rewards card I have. Probably PC it to a Cash+ card.

Any idea if USB will let me transfer my FlexPerks points to the altitude reserve.

Going into the garden for the rest of the year. I can’t take anymore new credit on my reports and she can’t either. Plus I have all the cards I want now.
Going to be closing Credit one after I attempt to accomplish the stuff above.
Also if the stuff above works out with chase and USB.
Going to have her remove me as a AU on that Amex card. Although 22k less of available credit will bite. I don’t really see a need to have it on my report anymore. Especially since I have the same card myself. Any reason to keep it ?

Re: US bank Altitude Reserve App

Congrats on the Altitude approval, it’s a nice card.

Yes to closing Credit One

Might be able to PC the Flex Perks to Cash+ but if they do not, I would suggest keeping that as is to maintain that US Bank relationship.

I would also also suggest go slow on other closures, even the AMEX AU. If you are not apping the rest of the year, which is an excellent idea, take the time to really consider options and long term strategy, then think on it some more before making the changes.

But close Credit One Smiley Happy

Re: US bank Altitude Reserve App

I didn’t plan on closing the flex perks card if they didn’t allow product changes. I want to keep my relationship with US bank. I bank and have investments with them. Great Bank!

I get your point about thinking about everything else. Credit one is going sometime next month. I agreed to keep it open for 60 days in December for them giving me back my annual fee. Never use the card. But there’s no point in having it anymore.

Re: US bank Altitude Reserve App

5K credit limit.
Had her call underwriting. They put in a request to raise the CL. We’ll see where it goes.
She’s adding me as a joint account owner in the next couple days.
Wonder if there will be an extra fee for having 2 primary cards since there’s an AU fee

Re: US bank Altitude Reserve App

Got the card today. Seriously impressed with the presentation of the card and box. Very sleek and premium feeling.

Waiting on the form to add me as a joint account holder since they can’t do it over the phone.
