If you were Army you can get into NFCU---I was Army as well. No issues at all with it.
When I go throught the questionnaire, it says I'm not eligible.
The questionaire tripped me up at first to---it said I was denied. I think you have to put retired in for your service then it asks you about branch time etc---I would call them if not. They know I was definitely Army it has SSGT TobytheDawg as my welcome and on the checks they sent. Very easy process I got instantly approved on the Platinum MC for 25k at the lowest rate within moments...it popped so fast I thought it was a mistake at first.
Ok. I'll try that. Thanks for the info. Good limit. Haven't broken the 5 digit club yet. Most was BBVA $9000 SL.
Good luck!!!!!

Don't you have to actually be a retiree?
You too.
I told them that I had served my time and gave them the years and they were ok. I am assuming they have a way of verifying since they did not ask for any additional info. USAA had me email a copy of my Honorable Discharge. NFCU took my info and said your one of us now...nothing else.

So, you are a retiree? Drawing an Army pension? That's interesting about USAA. They didn't ask me for my DD-214. Just signed me right up.
No, I spent 6 years in the Army as an EOD Specialist during the first Gulf War....also when the representative called me the next day to welcome me and and get the checking credit line setup he asked me about my service and I told him what I had done. However no pension....there was much more money at the time linking up with a company that had stock options available and a BMW as a sign on bonus :-) I do miss the Clinton years.
