Hey FICO Forum,
I've had a USAA preferred cash reserve credit card for about 4 years now and have not requested one CLI with them. I've had 3 30-day late payments with them the last 2 being 2 years ago. Should I request a cli with them? It is also important to note that over those 4 years I almost always carried a balance with that card and just paid the balance down to $0 last month.
I'm not too sure of the likelihood considering those late pays, as I have not asked for one myself though I have lower usage and never carried a balance. I have not asked before because it's been confirmed, it will be a EX HP for the request. I've heard of others getting "offers" but it's been a really long time since I've heard of one lately.
Also worth noting, they pull your Mortgage Score which I believe if F5 so while your F8 or F9 are improving, they will review the more stringent F5 for any considerations!
@cashorcharge I think USAA is still rocking that old EX FICO 3. Which in my case is 50 points lower then my EX FICO 2 mortgage score (paid charge off 6 yrs) .... I really wish they would use a newer score!
Unless things have changed recently?
The EX FICO 3 can be checked via USAA log on under your credit cards (PC).
OP Good luck on what you decide, I think (?) you need atleast a 660 EX FICO 3 (PRERONA) for a CLI.....

They're still using EX3.
Thanks for clarifying the specific score they use. Admittedly, I couldn't remember the exact one and I don't even look at my score from them as they are the only ones use that model. Thanks
