I am looking into the Uber Visa to maximize my cash back on my cards. I currently have Amex BCP for groceries (6%) and gas (3% - I know there are some other gas cards that give better percentages but I'm not there yet) and Citi DC for everything else (2%). Having the Uber Visa would give me even more with that 4% back in dining (which my Wife and I do once or twice a month) and 3% back in travel. Uber also has no foreign fee or annual fee, which are big bonuses.
My question to all of you is are there any other cards that compare to Uber Visa in these ways, or is that my best option? I have heard that the approval process of the Uber is different per person, so have any of you had an experiences with this process?
Thanks in advance!
In my opinion, this is a very versatile card, I adore it.
In addition to your list don't forget the 2% cashback for online purchases, $600 device coverage when you pay your cell phone bill with the card, and a $50 annual streaming fee credit (netflix, yada yada) if you spend $5000 or more annually. However, if you're "not there yet" for say the DU card or comparable for CB on gas, you need to be more specific on your credit profile due to the Uber can be a hard nut to crack depending.
Hey SarahJo -- Here is a little bit of my background... I have scores of TU: 728, EQ: 726, EX: 744. Income around $80k, one inquiry on both EQ and EX, util of < 9% (will have that to zero by the end of the month though). I have read that those with scores of less than 780 or so will get a small SL for Uber, so I may garden for a year or so until mine jump up a little bit. May look into the Wells Fargo Propel card as well when I get out of the garden.

Great, thanks so much!
I got my Uber Visa 5 months ago with FICO TU 8 around 653 and $2k SL. Your profile should easily get your a higher starting limit. Its a great cash back card for dining and travel. Love the no AF and no FTF. ![]()
