I received an invitation from Chase to apply for the United MileagePlus Explorer Card with a 70k mile bonus with $3000 spend in 3 months. I've had three accounts with Chase for years - no movement in credit limits. My cards had essentially been added to the sock drawer for the last year.
I applied early this morning and received the dreaded 7-10 day message. A few minutes later, I called the automated application status line to hear that I would be notified of a decision within 30 days. I had read that the 30 day message was a good sign, so I just logged into my Chase account and found I was approved, with a starting limit of $32,000! I nearly fell over in disbelief!
Congrats!
Should be moved to the Approval section? Congrats. A great limit, on a semi-useless card. You can transfer the limit though
I recently jumped on the 70k/$3k myself.

32,000 one dollar bills worth of credit!
Think about it. Thirty-two-thousand dollars!
Soweeeeeeeeet!
Super Congrats!

Yes, I thought I was in the approvals section. The card can't be all that worthless, michaelkloud. We travel fairly frequently, and I'll take the 70k extra miles. Perhaps I'll transfer the limit after earning the bonus to my CSP (which has been sitting at $5k limit since opening 4 years ago).
Woodyman100, the thought actually boggles my mind! I have a couple of high limit cards, but they started with a much smaller limit. I take this as a personal achievement, especially after what happened to us financially back in 2008ish.
The bonus is great. Don't get me wrong there. But as for using the card after I meet the min spend, prob sock drawer it.
