10-10 Update
I'm so stupid 🤦🏽♂️ I mixed up card opening dates with my discover card and really believed I had three full statements and was beyond the 91/3 mark. Instead I noticed my first statement was just for about three weeks of the statement period and that the card had only been open for 85 days at the time I applied for my second NFCU card 🤦🏽♂️ So I'm going to shoot for another app with this months statement, since it'll be my fourth one and I'll definitely be beyond the 91/3 😁😬
👋 I have a $200 secure card w Navy and my third statement cuts today. $0 balance on it. Current FICO 9 EQ 657 and FICO 9 EX 647. Don't have my 9 score for TU but the 8 is 659. Paid last charge off in July. Preapproved for all cards w Navy tho I know that doesn't mean much. Should I sit tight and wait for secure to graduate or give it a shot and apply straight up for a card now? Ty
Disappointed. Applied for the More Rewards and was denied. I was hopeful after seeing a credit limit increase on my secured card this morning, from $200 to $500. Hadn't read about that happening. Just gonna give up for now. Tired of the denials and especially upset at the wasted hard pull. Hasta luego, thanks for the encouragement.
I would only apply for a new card if you are 91 days and 3 full statements. If your first statement was a partial statement, I would wait until the fourth one cuts.
Thanks for your response. My first statement runs from June 4th to July 17. Is the 91/3 from when the first statement cuts or when the card was opened? I'm only two months from the fifth statement but I read so many success stories I get the itch to apply now

@Anonymous @ I would apply for a second card preferably Platinum but not the flagship bcuz it's a tougher cc to get approved for. Goodluck on whichever card you decide on!!

It's 91 days from when you were approved. Since your first statement was a full one, you should be good to go. Good luck and let us know.
@Anonymous
My fingers are crossed for your 2nd card! Standing by for an update lol!!

Today is the last day of the billng period so I hope tomorrow it posts.
Good luck on the app, OP!
Is there any difference in applying for the More Rewards or Cash Rewards vs the Platinum?
@AnonymousNo the only one that makes a big difference is the flagship card which requires at least a 5K line.
