i was approved $15K by the end of March 2015 with all scores in the low 700s
$10k on 3/10/15 matching my highest limit $10k BECU VISA.
Scores 670-690 range with about 4 non-car shopping INQs in the last year.
I'm happy to report that the Venture train hasn't left the station yet! Earlier this evening, I was approved for the following:
Credit Limit: $20,000
APR: 12.9%
My current TU score per Discover and Barclays Bank is 710.
huh, but there are two trains. The train with scores of 640-699 has left the station .
the train of 700 and above will stay and should stay because that is their orginal approval underwriting I assume.
it looks like they took some risk capital and now they are balancing their portfolio and taking off risk.
imo.
People were always getting denied, even when the "train" was in full force. Despite trends, it doesn't mean Capital One had abandoned all underwriting and was just giving out Ventures for no reason. It was a strange trend, but it wasn't going to last forever and if your profile doesn't support it you can still get declined.
I really don't understand why so many people even want a restricted 2% AF card other than for the first year but to each their own.
I got approved for 10k yesterdy
