Walmart MC verification

I applied for a Walmart MC and got a letter in the mail stating to call them because they require additional information. Hmmmm, I wonder if it will be a denial and if it will be worth my time calling in. What do you guys think?

Well, I gave them a call and the guy stated that the application has been completely filled out, no additional information is required, and it's still under review. I'll either receive the card in the mail of its approved or a letter of its a denial. Weird.

I always call the back door number found here in the forums.  I woud give them a call tomorrow morning to see what is going on.

For any of these store cards i always app instore.... they seem to approve easier when you are buying their products....

Was approved instore by cashier at walmart for $5,000 SL....

I wonder what the difference is between applying in store with a cashier opposed to applying online. Was it the Mastercard you were approved for Jmcgee?

Yes actually i applied for the store card about 2yrs ago... instore, inline.... applied for mc instore, inline last month....

I think the difference is that you are buying products that they can charge to the card immediately. .... synchrony has been really good to me in my rebuilding and have helped my scores tremendously. They are both my top $ cl cards along w/ Discover $5,000 cl

I have to agree that Synchrony has been a big factor in rebuilding my credit. They're really great. Discover is moving more slowly for me but it's my fault because I'm just starting to be proactive in obtaining higher limits with them.

Applying Instore is better odds of the major card and approval in general because they have your ID, u swipe a major credit card and the verification is more secure.
