Walmart store card

I've been reading the approval odds on the Walmart card and isee most people saying they require 6 months of revolving history too even be considered for the card. Does that mean aaoa needs to be at least 6 months or just a payment history of 6 months.? My aaoa dropped due to fresh start account graduating and being listed as closed and a new discover card reporting so I'm back to aaoa being 2 months from the 5 months that it was at. But I have over 6 months of payment history. My file is not great but way better than it used to be ..tu 1derog ,6 open accounts all current 5 are credit cards 1 is auto loan, 14 inquiries, score around 580 utilization of 40% dropped it from the 602 it was at. I have paid the balance down they just havn't reported yet. What's my chances on Walmart card or Amazon.. I'm looking to add one final trade line before I hit the garden..

Re: Walmart store card

Walmart is issued by Sychrony Bank who's major criteria for any of their cards is Transunion score. If the score you listed is a FICO score, then I would doubt you would be approved.

Re: Walmart store card

I would say maybe 575 bare minimum. Most likely 580 - 600 for the store version. Good luck

Re: Walmart store card

Once u get that Utilization down u will gain some points don't let multiple cards report balances only let one report a small balance.

Re: Walmart store card

I'd say 6 months of history. I was approved with 6 months of history with an AAoA of about 3 months but I had clean reports and 700+ scores

Re: Walmart store card

I think I'm OK on this point since my oldest active card (Cap One secured) will have had 18 or 19 months of reporting history by the time I'm ready to apply for the Walmart card (if I decide to). I'm also working to keep utilization as low as possible so that will help. My main remaining issue is my TU FICO score which was 627 at last report, but that was brought down by my last spate of apps and should start going up again now that my Penfed auto loan has reported to them and as my newer accounts start reporting payment history.

Re: Walmart store card

Anyone know if it's better to apply online for the store card, go in-store or does it matter at all?

Re: Walmart store card

You need to get your real FICO if those aren't. Not the ones you get on Credit karma or Sesame(those are FAKO's). You need to get your utilization down as low as you can and wait a few months. Wally can go asl low as 575 as a poster mentioned but let your AA0A age somemore. Also, watch the INQ's(were these from the car search?). future lenders can spook and deny you credits and increases. I am still rebulding and it took me a while to get Wally.
