..I am guessing that's a fancy way of saying declined?
Could be denial, mine looked just like that, or it could be undergoing manual review
Did you call them?
If denial is for reasons other than new accounts it's possible to get UW to change their mind.
Denials for new accounts are not typically followed by successful recon, but you can try anyway
If you do call, call UW services.
If you call plain customer service number, they will forward your request, but another HP is almost certain.
If you get to talk to UW, there is a chance they wont have to pull your credit again (though it may happen).
90% of all applications with US Bank goes through manual review. The 7-10 day notice just means it is going to manual review and no decision has been made yet.

When I applied, that was the message on my screen. I called right away, there was no manual review, already auto denied by the system.
I avoided a second HP because i got to talk to UW
If you call and they tell you it's in review, wonderful.
If it's denied, you have a chance to do something.

Oh well, now I am definitely gardening for sure :-/

I thought I recognized that message 😐
When I was denied, I only had two new accounts in the previous year.
My recon was successful, but at that time they were still willing to review apps unless "excessive"
They've tightened UW criteria since than, so I wouldn't apply agan unless it's something like 1-2 accounts in the past year.
