Wells Fargo Platinum Denial

I applied for WF Platinum and was denied. They pulled EQ (F09=791). EQ INQ=1, UTIL=16%, no baddies, inc=100K+. The reason for denial was "negative previous relationship."

In 2007, I had a 1st and 2nd WF mortgage on a summer home that I let go after job loss. I had them IIB in 2011. My primary home mortgage was with WF and I reaffirmed them in BK. Soon after BK filing, I re-financed and had not missed a payment since.

Not a huge loss and I cannot blame them for this decision. I just wish they denied me first before they did the HP. Oh well another DP for those in my situation. It looks like they are sensitive to previous negative relationships.

FICO 08 JUL23: TU 850; EQ 846; EX 843. Clean since BK7 D/C 6/2011.

Dang. Sorry about your denial and the pointless HP. Seems they're definitely grudge keepers... wonder for how long or if it’s a lifetime ban.

Thanks for the data. I was wondering if WF performs a hard pull if someone was blacklisted. Sorry for the denial though.

Yes. HP just like Chase even if blacklisted.
