Wells Fargo has inadequate application business rules

Applied for a Wells Fargo CC and by accident mistyped my SS. Got a letter in 2 weeks that they couldn't verify my SS, I figured as much, as I did not get warnings that my credit history was looked up.

So, I try again, now taking care to type everything slowly and rechecking. Got denied right there for a duplicate application, though, different SS number, mind you. Had to call and explain, took like 20mins to get it all straightened out.

Just saying, if you made a mistake like this and then try to correct it, the business rules that Wells Fargo has setup will make it impossible, unless you call, that is.

I'm not sure they'll change their business rules - multiple applications within a specific period of time are probably set to auto-decline for fraud prevention purposes.

Did you try clearing your browser's cache?  I have issues myself logging into WF as the website infuriatingly overrides my user credentials with my wife's.
