What card would have a higher limit and approval rating?

Hi all,

I am currently looking to get another card.  I am between the Citi Double Cash and the Chase Freedom Unlimited.  I'd like to know what one is easier to get approved with and what one gives a higher limit.  You can see my scores and cards below.  Thanks!

OP, scores alone aren't going to be the only factor when assigning a SL. This will depend on your overall profile, DTI/utilization, AAoA, etc.

Your signature currently displays a 7 month AAoA, it is unlikely that Freedom Unlimited or Double Cash will be able to get a SL above your AMEX given your thin profile. At best, Freedom *may* come closer to your Discover (if approved) while Double Cash might be way lower.

IMO, I wouldn't stack it to see what's easier to get approved for as much as which CC would be the best value rewards-wise or overall benefits in the long run.

Okay just updated the stats.  I am also looking at the new Amex card that gets 1.5% back?

OP, as mentioned before, there's alot more to getting an approval for a card then whats listed in your signature. But based on what's listed, Chase usually likes to see atleast 1 year credit history. Citi is usually more stringent when giving CL's from what I have seen so whichever card you choose to get, won't have too high of a limit. I would recommend giving it another couple months (3) so that your AAoA hits atleast 1 year before shooting for another card. You want to built a relationship and trust with creditors.

Just my two cents, good luck though!

OP, have you checked to see whether you are pre-qualified on any of their sites? Are you opted-in?

Yes I was thinking of doing that.  At that point I think I will apply for the new Uber card and go with that for a while.  How is Uber with approvel?

Just did the Citi and they did not match me with any of there cards. I know I could get in with Amex with there 1.5%.  Might be a higher limit with them.  Lots of options.

True, lots of options. Since you already have Discover and BCE (cashback wise), what's the reasoning behind another cashback CC? Are you maxing the thresholds?

Re: What card would have a higher limit and approval rating?

Well since my Discover is on the 5% rotating, I would like a card that gets a good return on dinning like the Uber one.  As far as why

I am looking at the Double Cash and Freedom Unlimited is because they give a better return on everyday spending.  I think I am going to wait till I have one year of credit history and get the Uber card as most of my spending is dinning.
