Re: What'd ya get in the mail today?

What I got today:

1) Pre-app from Discover personal loans. I guess they SPed me recently. That's when I had 7k+ in CC debt. No use now, and otherwise as well, not of great use. Most of the debt were in 0% APR CCs. Anyway.

2) Doc requirements from Chase. For Interest withholding and **bleep**. Will go to bank tomorrow / Saturday and figure things out.

3) A paper copy of the same email that AMEX sent me over the weekend about the CLI. Wish it was a new CLI.

4) Secure message from Chase confirming that my CCs have been consolidated. No more Slate. Freedom is 2k.

I'm sensing that opting in for prescreening has started a floodgate. No problem. CRs are frozen Smiley Very Happy

Well I have opted out and back in twice now. Never been able to be out for more than 5 months.

The problem with being opted out is that pre-app sites don't make any sense. I know, I'm gardening, and not apping for another 5-6 months at least. Still, I'd like to feel like corporations approve of me Smiley Wink

Sallimae World Rewards MC $1300

C1 QS1 which was supposed to be a QS.  Was on the phone with them.  CSR didn't know what the difference was.  Supervisor said that the original chat person was wrong to offer me QS but was supposed to offer me QS1.  I didn't back down.  He said "Mr. Last name" and "Sorry" and "My apologies" about 100 times each within 25 minutes on the phone.  So mindnumbingly annoying and scripted.  I wish C1 would be wiped off of my CRs so that I don't have to ever see their company name again.

My Discover Cashback Checking Debit card!

lol I wish I had your problems of too much spam mail. To date I have not had ONE single mail offer for a credit card. What makes it more frustrating is my mom has recently started getting mailings from Barclay's, and each time I look with excitement to see if it's for me. Nope. Smiley Sad

I'm positive. I never went to that website to opt out, however just to make sure, I did opt in just in case I was auto opted out for some reason.

Last time I opted out was because I drapped for Slate and I didn't want any more of this CC nonsense. Then I figured out about CR freezing from others here. So now, I can protect myself from drapping while still basking in the pre-app glory. (OK, so far no other than Credit One, but one day... )

Call them back to wave annual fee since it was their mistake, and ask them to convert it to quicksilver. I was able to convert my quicksilverone to quicksilver after 2 months.
