What happens when rejecting a Cap1 "CLI"?

I got the email about my auto-CLI just shy of 180 days ago. Thought I'd give it a shot to see if it would give me the same "there's been a recent CLI. Wait til it's been 6 months" message. Surprisingly, and I mean surprisingly, it offered the $100 increase. Smiley LOL

I obviously am not accepting it. I'm hoping that you'll tell me that my thought process is right. Will they continue to re-evaluate my CLI requests UNTIL I accept it? I want to hold out for something better. I'm willing to continue putting spend on it if it'll increase my chances for a higher limit. When they pull your credit for CLI, are they using the same data that's on your CreditWise report? If not, what do they use?

data points:

-updated my income by just 1k a few days ago

-last begged for a CLI 1 wk ago. maybe i harassed them to death Smiley LOL

-last month, one of the reasons for denial of cli was that i wasn't using the card enough---i ditched this card in oct after i got better rewards cards, and then i started using this one again about 2 months ago when i knew a cli was coming up.

Congratulations on your offer!

Maybe if you hold out long enough and put a few more swipes on it, they will increase their offer? Smiley Wink

Pretty sure they are using Equifax Fico 5 (Mortgage) scores from the pile of AAs my CLI attempts have generated.

Cap One will only give you a decent CLI when at least 5 plus months of big usage on it.  But even with that the CLI aren't all that big from what I have seen.  Not like AMEX Cli are.   If you hardly use the card don't expect anything or much at all that's why they only wanted to give you $100 they are telling you.....YOU DON'T USE OUR CARD ENOUGH!    lol

Congratulations on your offer. Cap1 likes to see a lot of spend if you're looking for a higher CLI.

This is my experience with it too, QS1 after a few months a use 1k, then 6 months of meh use 250.

Walmart card 100

QS 100

every time I accept it, because I barely use the card anyway. If they offer it, imma take it Smiley Happy
